How to update a high availability cluster?

 

 

i The system configuration should be secured every time the SMS Gateway gets updated. This is possible from version 4.0.2.

 

This setting can be found under: Configuration - Configuration Export/Import

 

 

 

Steps to be taken

 

Updating the slave unit

 

 

i Updating the SMS Gateway is possible via software update beginning from version 4.0.2. For previous versions only flashing the Gateway is possible.

 

 

 

  1. Export the configuration
  2. Update the slave unit
  3. Validate/check the imported configuration
  4. The update is now completed for the slave unit
  5. Make sure the unit works as expected
  6. Send a test SMS

 

 

Updating the master unit

 

  1. Export the configuration
  2. Update the master unit
  3. The cluster should now be using the slave unit
  4. Validate/check the configuration
  5. The update is now completed for the master unit
  6. Send a test SMS

 

 

When executing these steps as described, the high availability cluster will not fall out.
